If you are unsure about your (or your opponent’s) K factor, look at the player’s page on Fide’s ratings page and check the individual calculations for the most recent month for which you can see results. Generally, the K factor is 40 for juniors (U18), 20 for adults under 2400 and 10 for players rated 2400 and above.
