Crowthorne Chess Club is a friendly and competitive chess club for all standards of player, with a number of teams in the local Berkshire and Surrey Border leagues.
We meet in the pleasant location of Wellington College every Wednesday evening from 7.30pm all year round.
The club runs a junior section, with coaching available, starting at 6.30pm (though of course juniors can and do play in the main club if they wish).
As from April 2023, we have a new location within Wellington College!
We have moved to the Monro Pavilion near the Wellington Health & Fitness Centre. This is now our regular venue on Wednesdays for the junior club (6:30pm) and for matches (7:30pm). More detailed information and directions can be found in the in the “About Us” page, and will be provided to visiting match captains in due course.
We continue to meet on Thursdays at the Pinewood Centre for social chess.
