This week John Upham will dip into his encyclopaedic chess knowledge to present curious positions and other items of interest. Novel for sure, educational most likely, and entertaining without doubt. All club members are invited.
The joint Camberley/Crowthorne chess clubs' Christmas meal is confirmed for Friday December 14th, and has been booked for Don Beni Restaurant in Crowthorne High Street, starting at 7pm.
The annual Crowthorne speed handicap tournament, also known as the Crowthorne chess club Christmas party, will be on Friday the 21st December, from 7:30, in our usual venue of the staff bar. Do reserve the date in your diary.
We will be closed on Wednesdays the 26th December and 2nd January, and resume in the new year on Wednesday the 9th January.

Third 4NCL weekend for the 2018/2019 season. Rounds 5 and 6 for all divisions (both Crowthorne teams are in Division 4 South).

Once again, John Upham has kindly offered to host the Khyber Cup. This friendly summer rapid play tournament is an annual event open to all club members.
