Crowthorne Chess Club is a friendly and competitive chess club for all standards of player, with a number of teams in the local Berkshire and Surrey Border leagues.
The club runs a junior section, with coaching available, starting at 6.30pm (though of course juniors can and do play in the main club if they wish).
As from September 2025, we have a new location within Crowthorne!
We have moved to the Morgan Centre in Wellington Road, just off the High Street. This is now our regular venue on Wednesdays for the junior club (6:15pm) and for matches (7:30pm). More detailed information and directions are in the “About Us” page, and will be provided to visiting match captains in due course.
We continue to meet on Thursdays at the Pinewood Centre for social chess.
