This coming Wednesday's summer event will be a restricted opening rapid tournament. The opening will be fixed with 2 moves (for each player) into the Trompowsky: 1. d4 Nf6 2. Bg5 Ne4 Exciting stuff. This week John Upham will dip into his encyclopaedic chess knowledge to present curious positions and other items of interest. Novel for sure, educational most likely, and entertaining without doubt. All club members are invited.
